Another in our New Englander Series. Same base recipes, with a couple of changes – Maple Syrup from a neighboring farm and ground organic oatmeal. The maple really does add that touch of sweetness and great bubbles.
We’ve been wanting to make a soap representing a simple New England Life, how it might have been a hundred years ago. Here is a soap with ingredients that can be found in the woods around you, your garden, or a local farm. We’ve sourced local products when we could, and the rest, well, because of the shear bulk that we use, we purchased elsewhere, but the ingredients can be found here. A lovely scent that just reminds us of the “olden days” with ground organic oatmeal, and there is the added loveliness of Maple Syrup from a farm up the street from us. The Pine resin has wonderful skin cleansing properties, and the other oils used to be used regularly long ago.
