Description
Essiac Tea Handmade Goat Milk Soap
Discover the botanical simplicity of Essiac Tea Goat Milk Soap, inspired by herbs traditionally associated with Essiac herbal preparations. This substantial 4.5-ounce bar combines fresh goat milk, botanical oils, sal butter, ghee, and finely ground herbs.
We make each bar in small batches with fresh milk from our organically fed goats. Moreover, high oleic sunflower oil creates a smooth foundation, while babassu supports plentiful bubbles. Castor oil further enhances the creamy, stable lather.
Meanwhile, Sacha Inchi oil contributes its distinctive fatty-acid profile. Sal butter adds rich botanical character, while ghee complements the formula with traditional dairy fat.
Finely ground blessed thistle, burdock, kelp, red clover, sheep sorrel, slippery elm, rhubarb root, and watercress create light botanical texture. Additionally, we add no essential oils or fragrance oils. Therefore, the bar retains the natural character of its ingredients.
We superfat the formula at 12% for a rich cleansing experience. Finally, breathable biodegradable film protects each bar while allowing ventilation.
This product is soap for external cleansing, not Essiac tea or an herbal treatment. Discover this unusual botanical bar and order yours today.

Sunflower, Babassu and Castor Oils
- Organic High Oleic Sunflower Oil — High oleic sunflower oil contains a greater proportion of oleic acid than conventional sunflower oil. Therefore, it contributes mild, conditioning characteristics and smooth lather. Additionally, its fatty-acid profile provides a balanced foundation for the richer fats in this recipe.
- Organic Babassu Oil — Babassu comes from a South American palm with a long history of regional use. Moreover, its lauric and myristic acids help create abundant bubbles, cleansing power, and bar hardness. Consequently, it complements the high oleic sunflower oil.
- Organic Castor Oil — Castor oil contains unusually high concentrations of ricinoleic acid. Therefore, soapmakers value it for supporting dense, stable lather. Furthermore, it helps enhance the creamy foam produced by this multi-fat formula.
Ghee, Sacha Inchi and Sal Butter
- Grass-Fed Ghee — Ghee is clarified butterfat with centuries of importance in South Asian culinary and Ayurvedic traditions. Moreover, dairy fat contains palmitic, stearic, oleic, and other fatty acids. In soap, ghee contributes to the formula’s fatty-acid profile and creamy character.
- Organic Sacha Inchi Oil — Sacha inchi has a long history of use in South America. Additionally, its oil contains high concentrations of alpha-linolenic and linoleic fatty acids, plus oleic acid. Consequently, it adds a distinctive botanical component to this richly superfatted formula.
- Sal Butter — Sal butter comes from the seeds of Shorea robusta, a tree native to South Asia. Its seed fat contains substantial stearic and oleic acids. Therefore, it contributes firmness and creamy lather while balancing the softer oils.
Lye and the Soapmaking Process
- Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) — True bar soap requires sodium hydroxide for saponification. During this reaction, lye combines with fats and oils to form soap. Additionally, the process naturally produces glycerin. There is no lye left in the finished soap.
Botanical Herbs in Essiac Tea Goat Milk Soap
Blessed Thistle, Burdock and Kelp
- Organic Blessed Thistle — Blessed thistle has a long history in European herbal traditions. Moreover, herbalists historically prepared the plant in various traditional formulations. Here, finely ground blessed thistle contributes botanical character and natural texture rather than a therapeutic function.
- Organic Burdock Root — Burdock has centuries of traditional use in European and Asian herbal practices. Additionally, the root has appeared in foods and botanical preparations. In this soap, finely ground burdock adds earthy botanical character and light physical texture.
- Organic Kelp — Coastal cultures have long used edible seaweeds as foods and in traditional preparations. Furthermore, kelp naturally contains minerals and other marine plant compounds. Here, it contributes to the soap’s distinctive botanical composition.
Red Clover and Sheep Sorrel
- Organic Red Clover — Red clover has a long history in European and North American herbal traditions. Traditionally, herbalists used its flowering tops in various preparations. In this formula, however, it serves as one component of the botanical blend and contributes natural texture.
- Sheep Sorrel, Whole Plant Including Root — Sheep sorrel has appeared in European and North American folk herbal traditions. Moreover, the whole plant provides a distinctive botanical component. Here, the finely ground plant contributes texture and reflects the formula’s herbal inspiration.
Slippery Elm and Turkish Rhubarb Root
- Organic Slippery Elm Bark — Indigenous peoples of North America have traditionally used slippery elm bark in numerous preparations. Furthermore, the inner bark contains naturally occurring mucilage. In this rinse-off soap, it contributes botanical character to the finely ground herbal blend.
- Organic Turkish Rhubarb Root — Rhubarb root has a long history in traditional Chinese and other Asian herbal systems. Additionally, the root contains naturally occurring plant pigments and compounds. In this formula, it adds earthy botanical character rather than a medicinal function.
Watercress
- Organic Watercress — Watercress has centuries of history as a leafy food and traditional botanical. Moreover, it naturally contains vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds when fresh. In this soap, it completes the diverse herbal blend and contributes to its botanical identity.
Why This Essiac-Inspired Soap Contains No Essential Oils
We intentionally leave essential oils and added fragrance oils out of this recipe. Therefore, the traditional botanical ingredients remain the focus of the formula.
Furthermore, the absence of added fragrance allows the natural aromas of the oils, sal butter, ghee, and herbs to define each bar.
However, unscented does not mean allergen-free or suitable for every sensitive skin type. This formula still contains numerous botanical ingredients.
Goat Milk Benefits in Essiac Tea Goat Milk Soap
Fresh goat milk contributes to the creamy lather and distinctive character of this bar. Moreover, it naturally contains milk fats, proteins, lactose, vitamins, and minerals.
Goat milk contains fatty acids including capric, caprylic, lauric, myristic, palmitic, stearic, and oleic acids. Exact proportions naturally vary. However, these fats contribute to the overall fatty-acid profile of the soap.
Additionally, goat milk naturally provides vitamin A and several B vitamins, including riboflavin. It also supplies minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and zinc.
Meanwhile, lactose and other milk components contribute to lather characteristics. Therefore, goat milk complements sunflower, babassu, castor, Sacha Inchi, ghee, and sal butter in this creamy formula.

Essiac Tea Goat Milk Soap FAQ
Does this soap contain Essiac tea?
The formula contains a blend of botanicals inspired by herbs associated with Essiac preparations. However, this product is a cleansing soap and not a tea, supplement, or medicinal preparation.
Is this the same as Genuine Essiac Tea?
No. This is an independently formulated goat milk soap inspired by traditional Essiac botanicals. It does not replace Genuine Essiac Tea or provide the same intended use as an herbal beverage.
Does this soap treat health or skin conditions?
No. We make this product for external cleansing. The inclusion of traditional herbs does not mean the finished soap treats, prevents, or cures any disease or skin condition.
Why doesn’t the soap contain essential oils?
We leave essential oils out so the botanical ingredients remain central to the formula. Consequently, the soap has no added essential-oil fragrance.
Why does the bar have texture?
Finely ground herbs create natural physical texture. Consequently, each wash has a lightly textured feel rather than the completely smooth surface of an unadulterated bar.
What does 12% superfat mean?
The recipe uses less sodium hydroxide than required to saponify all calculated fats and oils. Therefore, some fats remain unsaponified in the finished bar.
